Bihar’s former Chief Minister and RJD’s Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has been convicted in Fooder Scam case and sentenced to 5-year Jail and 10 lakhs fine by special Court in Ranchi, this is the third Fooder scam in which he has been convicted and other two also took place in 1990’s.
Former chief minister Jgannath Mishra has also been found guilty in the case of fraudulent withdrawal of 37.62 crores from the Chaibasa treasury in 1990’s, announced CBI judge SS Prasad.
69-year-old Lalu Yadav has been currently lodged in Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi, AS HE HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY ON January 6, in fooder case scam of Deoghar treasury.
Whereas current Chief Minister of Bihar said: As stated in Indian Express,
‘It’s a judicial decision, we will not react to it, but will not compromise on our justice and development agenda.’
Apart from Lalu, the other accused convicted in the case are R K Rana, Vidyasagar Nishad, Dhruv Bhagat, former chief secretary Sajal Chakraborty, IAS officials Phool Chand Singh and Mahesh Prasad.
