Pakistan Court on Saturday has given four death sentences to a man charged with raping and murder of a 6year old girl named Zainab Ansari, the case shocked the country and many protests were followed by, even TV Anchor Kiran Naz of Samaa TV brought her daughter during news bulletin as a protest.
Imran Ali, 24, was on trial for the killing of six-year-old Zainab in the eastern city of Kasur last month.
He faces further charges in the cases of at least seven other children attacked in the Punjab city — five of whom were murdered — in a spate of assaults that had stoked fears a serial child killer was on the loose. He has confessed to all eight attacks, including the death of Zainab.
DNA tests were conducted on more than 1,100 people in Kasur town and finally, it was 24-year-old Imran Ali whose DNA sample matched the DNA found on 8 victims, including the 7-year-old.
Ali, who lived near Zainab, was arrested by police on 23 January.
Twitter was also flooded by the protest against Zainab using hashtags like #JusticeforZainab, Omar R Quraishi, Editor Digital Properties Samaa TV has tweeted on Feb 17, stating the Zainab’s parent want public execution.

Zainab’s mother Nusrat Bibi demanded the execution of the death penalties be carried out in public. She told reporters after the verdict that
I want him to be hanged publicly at the place where he took Zainab.

Zainab was 7 years old kidnapped, raped and murder in Kasur, Pakistan and found in a garbage bin near her house after five days f heer missing. This was 12th kidnapping and rape case to be filed in the same place seen in Pakistan in last few months, the tragic ending of Zainab has triggered all over the social media and even mass protest has been seen in Pakistan against the rise in rape cases.
