Kerala is hosting National Banana Festival from Feb 17-21


Banana is one of the oldest fruit known worldwide and mostly used fruit in the world.

What if we say Festival of Banana is here for u in your own country!

Yes, this is true, God’s own country Kerala is hosting National Banana Festival.

National Banana Festival 2018 is being organized by Kerala at Kalliyoor, Thiruvananthapuram from Feb17-21.

The festival is organized by CISSA, Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action in partnership with Kalliyoor Grama Panchayat and a host of National and State organizations.

The festival is planned in such a way that it will benefit all who have an interest in the banana sector  Producers, Consumers, Retailers, Traders, Government Organisations, NGOs and Research Institutions.

The festival will be inaugurated by Hon. Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Radha Mohan Singh on Feb 17 at 11 am.

There will be stalls by almost 200 exhibitors in India including NGO’s, Self Help Groups, cuisines stall, etc.

There will be also student’s pavilion competing with each other and best pavilion will be awarded.

Documentary screening related to the theme on the banana will be followed in the festival with meetings of farm journalist so that they can take the festival to another level.
