CBSE re-examinations rescheduled for April and July

    The Education Secretary has announced the new dates for a re-examination of Economics and Math paper as of April 25 and July respectively. The re-examination of Math scheduled for July is tentative and will be undertaken by students of Delhi and Haryana region if needed.

    Anil Swarup, Education Secretary confirmed the paper leak of Class X Math paper but he informed that the paper leak was limited to Delhi and Haryana area. There will be no re-examination for NRI students who took CBSE exams of Economics because the leaked papers were not circulated outside India. The police are investigating the case and detained 6 people found to be involved in the paper leak. A coaching center in Jharkhand and another in Delhi are under the scanner and their owners have been questioned.

    “Our immediate concern of the children who have suffered and this decision is in that context. We will nail the person who did this,” added the Education Secretary. Delhi Police Crime Branch is in touch with Google to track the mail id of the person who informed CBSE of the Math paper leak. More then 10 WhatsApp group having parents, students and private tutors as members of it are believed to be complicit to the paper leak.
