INX Media case: Karti Chidambaram denied of home food

    Karti Chidambaram, accused of INX Media case has been remanded by Delhi court for 5 days in CBI custody.

    Recently, Nirav Modi, the diamond merchant who was the sensation for the last week, accused of fraud of almost 11,500 crores, now K.Chidmabaram, son of former Finance minister P.Chidambaram is in news for money laundering.

    Sunil Rana, special CBI judge has extended the custody of Karti till March 6, and also denied home food, he can have prescribed medicine.

    “Such a deceitful and fallacious proposal was favorably considered by the officials of the Ministry of Finance and approved by the then finance minister (P.Chidambaram),” the CBI alleged.

    Karti was arrested on Wednesday in Chennai by CBI on one-day police custody but now it has been extended until March 6.

    The Judge also permitted the parents to talk to Karti in the presence of the investigating officer during the brief break before passing the order on giving five-day custody of Karti to CBI, as stated in Economic times.

     Whereas father of Karti, P.Chidambaram while meeting in the court has said that not to worry, he is there for him.


    INX Media case, in which Karti Chidambaram along with Peter and Indrani Mukerjea were accused of money laundering.

    An FIR was lodged by CBI against them alleging irregularities in Foreign Investment Promotion Board(FIPB).
